Frequently asked questions
23 questions buyers actually ask before evaluating SLAtech
Pricing, channels, GDPR, languages, integrations, UPL safeguards, PHI redaction, Quiz Mode, vertical specialisation — no marketing fluff, just the answers that close the gap between "interested" and "ready to book the trial". Linked across to the comparison matrix and per-competitor side-by-side pages.
API
1 answer
Does SLAtech offer a public API?
Yes. /v1/query/ask, /v1/leads, /v1/landing/{site}/{lang}/{slug} and related endpoints are documented and available to paying customers on the Pro tier and above. Webhook events for lead capture and query-completed are exposed via the admin platform. An SDK package (npm @@slatech/bot-sdk + pip slatech) is on the platform-evolution roadmap.
Booking
1 answer
How does the calendar booking work?
Google Calendar and Outlook two-way sync ship as first-class integrations on the Pro tier. Per-practitioner / per-stylist / per-instructor availability rules are configurable, including slot durations, buffer times, day-off patterns and prerequisite-level gating. The bot handles reminders, cancellations and reschedules via the same calendar integration; no separate "meetings" SKU is required (Drift charges this separately as Drift Meetings).
Bot quality
1 answer
Does the AI assistant hallucinate prices or clinical advice?
No. The RAG pipeline returns "I don't know — let me connect you with a human" rather than guessing whenever retrieval confidence falls below the configured threshold. Every response carries a confidence + factuality + hallucination flag visible in the admin Inbox for auditability. Across all verticals, detected structured identifiers (email, phone, payment card, Israeli national-ID, medical-record number) are redacted from visitor messages before the LLM call and tokenised in opt-in document uploads; free-text names are not auto-detected.
Buyer evaluation

How do I calculate the ROI / TCO of deploying an AI chatbot?
Use SLAtech's interactive TCO calculator at /en/tco-calculator/. Inputs: monthly support conversations, average human-agent fully-loaded cost per hour, average handle time per conversation, bot containment rate (% conversations resolved without human handoff), and SLAtech subscription tier. Outputs: annual human-only cost, annual bot+residual cost, savings, payback period in months. Methodology is open-formula: human cost = conversations × handle-time × agent-cost × 12; bot scenario adds (1-containment) × residual human cost to subscription. Real outcomes vary by integration depth and use-case complexity.
How do I compare AI chatbot vendors objectively?
Use SLAtech's filterable vendor compare-tool at /en/compare-tool/ — 16 AI chatbot vendors (5 SLAtech verticals + 11 competitors) across 6 filter axes: HIPAA compliance, GDPR compliance, Hebrew RTL polish, minimum eval-score, max monthly USD price, vendor lock-in posture. Use the 30-question vendor due-diligence checklist at /en/vendor-checklist/ for procurement-grade questions covering 7 themes (compliance, eval methodology, multilingual depth, data portability, pricing transparency, implementation, company stability). Each question with SLAtech's transparent answer + how to verify the same answer against any vendor independently.
Can I avoid vendor lock-in when picking an AI chatbot platform?
Yes — but verify three things before committing. (1) Conversation export: can you JSON-export all conversation logs? SLAtech provides JSON Lines export with 24-hour SLA, zero per-export fee. (2) Knowledge-base export: can you Markdown-export your FAQ / training data? SLAtech supports both export and Git-stored source-of-truth. (3) Egress fee: get "no egress fee" in writing in the MSA. SLAtech charges zero egress, zero exit fee, documented in pricing page. See /en/vendor-checklist/ Theme 4 (Data portability + vendor lock-in) for the full procurement questions to ask any vendor.
Channels
2 answers
Which channels does SLAtech bundle?
Web widget, Telegram bot and WhatsApp Business (Cloud API) are bundled in the Pro tier ($249/month) and above. Most competing platforms charge WhatsApp as an add-on, are web-chat-only, or social-DM-first. See /en/vs/landbot/ and /en/vs/manychat/ for the channel-coverage gap.
Does SLAtech support WhatsApp Business?
Yes — WhatsApp Business (Cloud API) is bundled in the Pro tier ($249/month) and above alongside the web widget and Telegram bot. Most competing platforms (Intercom, Tidio, Crisp, Drift) treat WhatsApp as a separate add-on with its own SKU. Landbot is WhatsApp + web only; ManyChat is social-DM-first. See /en/vs/landbot/.
Compliance
3 answers
Is SLAtech GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Sub-processor transfers are governed by SCC 2021/914, and customer data is never used to train AI models. A Data Processing Agreement is generated on request via the admin platform. A full Data Subject Request portal lives in the admin platform. Hosting in your own jurisdiction is available on request (Enterprise).
Where is customer data hosted?
Tenant content lives in logically-isolated partitions and is excluded from the model-training pipeline; sub-processor transfers are governed by SCC 2021/914. The Custom Solutions tier offers a single-tenant deployment option for security-paranoid buyers, and hosting in your own jurisdiction is available on request (Enterprise).
Can I export my data?
Yes. The admin platform's DSR (Data Subject Request) portal supports per-tenant export to JSON (conversations, leads, knowledge base, settings) and per-visitor delete on request. Enterprise tier adds scheduled-export to S3-compatible storage. No API-level export-throttling — data exit is a core obligation, not a commercial gate.
Contact
1 answer
How do I contact SLAtech?
Email info@slatech.ai. Setup-time questions and pre-sales conversations are handled directly by the founder. Existing customers reach support via the admin platform's in-product chat (which is itself a SLAtech bot — meta).
Education
1 answer
What is Quiz Mode (Education vertical)?
Quiz Mode is a feature in SLAtech Education that turns each uploaded lesson into a randomised practice quiz. The same content drives both the live Q&A bot and the per-topic self-test loop. Each quiz generates fresh with randomised order and phrasing — students cannot game it by memorising answers. Designed as a practice tool, not a graded assessment; the lecturer remains the grading authority.
Enterprise
2 answers
Can I deploy multiple bots for multiple sites or locations?
Yes. The Enterprise tier ($499/month) supports multi-bot deployment (one bot per location / programme / agency client) with per-bot reporting and per-bot CRM webhook routing. Agencies typically manage 5-15 client bots from one admin account. The Custom Solutions tier offers single-tenant deployment for maximum isolation.
Does SLAtech offer SAML SSO?
The Custom Solutions tier offers SAML SSO, role-based access control, audit-log export and single-tenant deployment. Free / Starter / Pro / Enterprise tiers use email + password authentication on the admin platform. SSO is on the standard Enterprise-tier roadmap but not shipping yet — contact info@slatech.ai if this blocks evaluation.
Eval methodology
2 answers
What's the SLAtech eval methodology — how do you measure bot quality?
200-question sealed eval harness per vertical with LLM-as-Judge scoring on factuality (0.4 weight) + grounding (0.3) + tone (0.2) + safety (0.1) axes. Same questions are run against SLAtech, Intercom Fin, Tidio Lyro, and Chatbase with identical retrieval budgets. Raw transcripts available on request. Per-vertical breakdowns published at /en/eval/ (umbrella) and at /{lang}/eval/ on each vertical hub (med.slatech.ai, legal.slatech.ai, etc.). Methodology is open-sourced — customers can reproduce scores against their own tenant. Med 88/100, Legal 89, Sales 87, Beauty 86, Edu 86, Hospitality 85, Event 84, Fitness 83, General-Business 71 baseline.
What's a good containment rate to expect from AI chatbots?
Containment rate = % of incoming conversations resolved end-to-end without human handoff. Industry baselines: 50-65% for generic chatbots (Intercom Fin, Tidio Lyro), 65-80% for vertical-specialised platforms (SLAtech). SLAtech per-vertical baseline: Med 78%, Legal 73%, General-Business 72%. Containment drives ROI linearly — 30-percentage-point difference in containment (50% vs 80%) = 30% less residual human-support cost. Use the TCO calculator at /en/tco-calculator/ to model the impact of containment rate on your annual savings.
Integrations
1 answer
Can SLAtech integrate with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive?
Yes — all three ship as first-class CRM integrations on the Pro tier ($249/month) and above; a generic JSON-POST webhook covers in-house CRMs. Beauty, Fitness and Event verticals also wire industry-specific platforms (Mindbody, ClubReady, Glofox, Aisle Planner) via webhook. Deep PMS sync (Mews, Cloudbeds, Opera) for Hospitality is on the Enterprise roadmap.
Languages
1 answer
What languages does SLAtech speak?
Hebrew (RTL polished), Russian and English are first-class by default; the multi-language detection layer auto-routes per visitor message. The admin UI itself renders correctly in Hebrew RTL without the layout bugs visible in Drift, Intercom and Tidio Hebrew admin views. These are our three native languages — additional languages are available on request.
Legal
1 answer
How does SLAtech handle UPL (Unauthorized Practice of Law)?
SLAtech Legal's UPL safeguard routes every substantive legal question to "an attorney will follow up" instead of letting the AI assistant answer. Intake-triage and logistics questions (fee structure, consultation procedure) are handled by the assistant; legal advice is never generated. A conflict-check prompt collects opposing-party names during intake and flags review-required in the admin Inbox before any consultation is confirmed.
Medical
1 answer
Which medical specialties does SLAtech Medical support?
General Practice, Dentistry, Dermatology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Aesthetic Medicine, plus a generic "Other" template. Each specialty arrives with industry-tuned FAQ templates, tone-of-voice presets and pre-visit instruction triggers (patch-test reminders, fasting requirements, whitening prep). Opt-in identifier tokenisation replaces detected structured identifiers (email, phone, payment card, Israeli national-ID, medical-record number) in uploaded documents before any LLM call, and the same identifiers are redacted from visitor messages; free-text names are not auto-detected.
Platform

What is SLAtech?
SLAtech is an AI chatbot platform shipping nine industry-specialised conversational agents (Medical, Education, Hospitality, Sales, Legal, Beauty, Fitness, Event, Business) on one multi-tenant infrastructure. Hebrew, Russian and English are first-class; pricing starts on a permanent free tier, with flat-rate paid tiers from $49/month per bot without per-resolution overages.
How is SLAtech different from Intercom, Drift, Tidio or Chatbase?
SLAtech ships vertical-tuned knowledge bases seeded on signup (clinics, hotels, law firms, etc.) rather than one generic AI. Hosting in your own jurisdiction is available on request (Enterprise). Hebrew RTL and Russian are first-class across admin UI, bot dialogue, marketing site and structured data. Side-by-side: /en/vs/intercom/, /en/vs/drift/, /en/vs/tidio/, /en/vs/chatbase/.
Pricing

How much does SLAtech cost?
There are five tiers. Free is $0/month (AI chatbot widget, email lead capture, basic analytics, Telegram connector). Starter is $49/month (website auto-crawl, document knowledge, custom widget branding, Telegram + WhatsApp channels). Pro is $249/month (multi-site deployment, webhook lead delivery, private knowledge base, conversation analytics, agent workflow automation, human handoff). Enterprise is $499/month (custom persona, custom handoff rules, unlimited sites and documents, priority support, custom widget domain). Custom Solutions is custom-quoted (dedicated implementation, SSO, data residency, white-label / reseller). Start on the Free tier — no credit card required.
Is there a free tier?
Yes — there is a permanent Free tier at $0/month with a monthly query allowance, one website and a capped page index, no credit card required. Paid tiers scale from Starter ($49/month) — the cheapest flat-rate option in the broader market — through Pro ($249/month) and Enterprise ($499/month), with Custom Solutions for bespoke needs. Comparable: Chatbase has a $19/month Hobby tier (capped at 1,000 messages); Tidio Lyro caps free conversations at 50/month.
Reliability
1 answer
Where can I see SLAtech's uptime?
https://status.slatech.ai/ — real-time service status across 12 production components, 60-second cache. Updated by a synthetic-monitor Worker job that probes every key endpoint and records the result. The status page also links to the historical incident log.
Setup
1 answer
How long does setup take?
About 10 minutes for the web widget on a single site. Calendar integration adds another 10-15 minutes. CRM webhook setup adds 5 minutes. No "implementation specialist" rollout cycle is required — SLAtech is self-serve from signup; no discovery calls; no CSM-led onboarding required (Drift's posture).
Vertical depth
1 answer
What does "vertical-specialised" actually mean?
Each vertical bot ships with industry-tuned FAQ templates seeded on signup — Botox vs filler (Beauty / Med Aesthetic), gel vs acrylic nails (Beauty), patch-test protocols (Med Dermatology), RSVP tracking (Event), per-stylist calendars (Beauty), membership-plan triage (Fitness), UPL safeguards (Legal). Generic platforms (Intercom Fin, Chatbase) ship one English-first AI and expect the customer to author all the industry copy from scratch.
